A number of students from the club travelled to Swindon on 10th April to attend a seminar by Iain Abernethy. Iain
is one of the UK's leading exponents of applied karate. The seminar concentrated on the bunkai (applications) and drills
of the kata Kanku-Dai. The seminar was excellent and well worth the trip to Swindon. Iain had everyone captivated
from start to finish by his amazing knowledge of karate, his enthusiasm for the subject, humour and overall
ability to show how effect karate can be in a real life situation.
